Short and Sweet
 We had a fucking great weekend (and vice versa, to paraphrase Dorothy Parker). We plan on seeing each other again!

Serious and Sweet
Your site worked; it really did! I placed my ad in the middle of December. Including a picture was key, I think. In just a few days I got a slew of responses and started really nice conversations with a few men. After several long phone conversations and some careful safety-oriented dates checking each other out, I am now dating a lovely, smart, serious, wonderful guy who I can imagine having a real future with. I have no idea if this will work out, but I never would have met this man without having the nerve (ha!) to place my ad on this site.
What I particularly want to point out here is that I wrote a totally straight ad about who I was and what I wanted from a relationship. It was not a dense postmodern meditation on why the list of books I admire is edgier than anyone else's, or how exotic or puzzling the items on my nightstand are. I did not expect it to work the way I wanted it to, but it did. Sign me . . .
Pleasantly Surprised
Just Plain Sweet
I happened upon your site one night while surfing the Net in a bout of boredom, and decided to peruse the personal ads. I made an ad so I could browse, and became depressed about the dizzying number of interesting women that lived far, far away from me. I forgot about it until the next day when I got a couple of responses. Surprised at the quickness of these replies, I threw up an old picture of myself. I proceeded to forget about it until I checked my email again and saw I had received even more responses. One was from a particularly fetching and funny girl in my neck of the woods (imagine that!). Within one email she asked me out, and we ended up having a dinner date that lasted for around eight hours. We spent New Year's together and have barely parted company since. Simply put, I am completely in love with the girl and she with me. I never thought I would meet a woman who embodied everything I ever wanted and felt the same way about me, and I owe it to you. So, for lack of a better expression, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
